Electrified Lamborghinis Are Coming Soon, Both Hybrid and Fully-Electric

Lamborghini lays out a roadmap for an electric future.

If you thought Lamborghini would stay with internal combustion engines forever, you’re in for quite the shock. Lamborghini has just announced their roadmap for an electrified future and it’s going to completely change their lineup in the coming years. During a video presentation by Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, we learned what the roadmap entails and it can be summed up by three main points. The first is a celebration of the combustion engine which will take place 2021 to 2022. During this time period, Lamborghini will launch two new V12 models. Next up is a transition to a completely hybrid lineup. This will start with the introduction of their first hybrid series production car in 2023 and by the end of 2024, the entire range will be electrified. Last, but most certainly not least, Lamborghini will introduce their first fully-electric model in the second-half of the decade.

Lamborghini is going all-in with this transition, investing more than 1.5 billion euros over four years. We can’t wait to see what’s to come.

Lamborghini Museum Reopens With Sian Roadster Front & Center

Fans of the Raging Bull rejoice. The Lamborghini Museum of Technologies (MUDETEC) reopens today. Their latest achievement is the Sian Roadster, and it will be on display until Sunday evening. If you are planning a trip to Sant’Agata Bolognese, the facility will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and only with advanced booking. This is to make sure the patrons are protected from the virus, and there will be disinfection spaces available to all guests.

Lamborghini Sian Explained by Chief Technical Officer

Once inside, you will be treated to a journey of the brand’s aesthetic and engineering innovations over the past 57 years. Starting with the 350 GT, you will see prototypes of the Miura, Countach, LM002, Centenario, and the Aventador SVJ. Other exhibits include their foray into Forged Composites, Active Aerodynamics, all-wheel drive, and the Human-Machine Interface. While it would be worth the trip, we can empathize if the notion of traveling is unsettling currently. That’s why our dealers have amazing displays without the need for a passport.
